Secure process interfacing with end-to-end encryption

The VPN Security option allows the encryption of the complete communication between remote terminal units and control system via VPN tunnel according to IPsec standard.

This guarantees that telecontrol data is always encrypted between the control center and the remote terminal units. The VPN Security software module covers all relevant security demands and supports the accepted security standards. This ensures the interoperability with other producers (Cisco, Juniper/Netscreen, SUN Microsystems).

For the protection of the process interfacing you need a device with “Telecontrol Gateway VPN Security” software and activated VPN licence. The deployment of the security functions is transparent to PSIcontrol. The special PSIcontrol redundancy concept is completely supported and the configured IP address structure remains unchanged.
